What is a Ziptrak® blind?

Ziptrak® Blinds (sometimes called Ziptrack blinds) are track guided outside awnings which have been specifically designed to provide protection from winds, rain, heat and glare in verandah, patio areas and on the face of windows.

The Ziptrak® Blind was deisgned by a South Australian company and is the registered trade mark of A.C de Maaijer used under licence by Ziptrak® Pty Ltd and manufactured by Stan Bond (SA) Pty Ltd.

The Ziptrak® system is designed so it can be secured in the down position or half-way without zippers, buckles or straps. The blind is spring, crank or motor operated allowing it cover a range of sizes whilst remaining easy to operate.

Down each side of the Ziptrak® blind is held in place with a 2 part extruded aluminum track, powder coated to your choice of colour. The track, combined with the patented Ziptrak® parts, ensure that the fabric cannot blow out of the channel providing a seal against wind and rain.

Ziptrak® blinds are mature and know product and is superior to systems that do not restrain the fabric in the channel. This trusted solution is suitable commercial, retail and residential customers.

Fabric Choices

Outlook 2x2 Mesh Fabric is recommended for Ziptrak® Blinds. The mesh fabric blocks around 95% of heat and glare and provides an almost total barrier to wind and rain. Most customers end up much happier with Mesh Ziptrak® blinds than any other fabric choice because it keeps the area cool in summer and warm in winter whilst still allowing outdoor areas to 'breathe' a little.

Ziptrak®s can be made using .75mm and 1mm (Marine grade) Clear PVC or Tint PVC which provides clear vision and 100% weather barrier but can make outdoor areas very hot when the sun is out.

Ziptrak® Pelmets

Ziptrak® blinds come with a range of options for hoods and fully enclosed pelmets.

Fully enclosed pelmets provide the neatest look and greatest protection for the blind.
